Katharine M. NohrKatharine M. Nohr is a principal of Nohr Sports Risk Management, LLC, a former Judge, and has decades of experience as a litigation attorney. Ms. Nohr is the author of textbook, Managing Risk in Sport & Recreation: The Essential Guide to Loss Prevention (Human Kinetics 2009) and has authored numerous book chapters and magazine articles on sport and recreation risk management.
Ms. Nohr has keynoted and presented at conferences in the United States, London, Cambridge, Rio de Janeiro, Krakow, Athens, and Kayseri, Turkey on sports risk management and law topics. She has served as Regional Vice President of International Association of Insurance Professionals and won the International Insurance Professional of the Year for that organization in 2012, as well as many other awards. She has served on the Pacific Northwest Counsel, Regional Coordinator of Officials for the Pacific, Appellate Hearings Officer, among other positions with USA Triathlon. Ms. Nohr is the host of the ThinkTech Hawaii livestreaming Internet show, The Wide World of Esports, and is a member of the Esports Bar Association and The Esports Trade Association. |
Angela I. Hayslett
Angela I. Hayslett is a principal of Nohr Sports Risk Management, LLC, and is a licensed attorney in the state of Colorado. She received her juris doctor from the University of Cincinnati. She also has a bachelor's from Otterbein University and a master's in Sport and Recreation Leadership from James Madison University. Mrs. Hayslett teaches Sport and Recreation Management at James Madison University with her research focused on sports risk management. Mrs. Hayslett is the co-author of "Reducing risk; An examination of use and perceived effectiveness of risk management strategies at NCAA collegiate athletic facilities" published by APPA (2021).
She is the former Risk Manager of USA Triathlon, a national governing body of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee. She has worked for and with many public, non-profit and for-profit sport and recreation organizations in her professional career. |
